ShuttleBee announces 2018-2019 launch
Philadelphia, February 26, 2018 -- Exactly one year in the making, ShuttleBee announces the launch of tech-supported livery service to the Philadelphia community, on-boarding passengers now for the upcoming school year.
Kicking the 2018 New Year off with the Science Center Incubator ic@3401, part of a partnership between Drexel University and the Science Center under Director Eamon Gallagher, ShuttleBee has launched full swing into the the startup community. ShuttleBee received a community-based investment from a Philadelphia Independent School in 1Q18, and is seeking matching funds from the Ben Franklin Technology Partners TAF program for early-stage startups. ShuttleBee has earmarked these funds for tech development and will begin commercialization of a white-lable spin-off in the Spring.
ShuttleBee is also purchasing their first fleet for the upcoming year, and is over 50% booked for the upcoming school year. ShuttleBee will attend the Collision Conference in New Orleans as part of the ALPHA exhibition, and is a hopeful participant at the Angel Venture Fair in Spring 2018.
"Raising your kids in the city means you face a whole slew of problems to figure out. One of those problems is how you get your kids to and from school. ShuttleBee is a godsend for city parents (working and not) because it solves that exact problem, in an efficient, trustworthy, affordable way. Now getting my child from school to her after school program is seamless. It has opened up so many possibilities for us and reduced so much stress. I can't thank Kristina and her team enough." -- Ashley Primis, Philadelphia Parent
